Francophones, anglophones, allophones all drawing on whatever we have in our linguistic pockets to make a conversation. I wanted to bring the fun of that local language and rhythm into a song.”

Montréal on a Dating App is featured prominently in Lou’s music-comedy show, Love, Sharks & Frenching, which she toured across Canada and to Europe. “In the show, I get the crowd to join in a singalong of the conjugations of se frencher which is always a great time. It was really fun to try to keep some of that play in the full-band arrangement with the tight punches and the groovy swing.”
